National Law School of India University, Bangalore would be organizing the 8th edition of the National Law School International Arbitration Moot (NLSIAM) from 1st to 3rd May, 2015 and the National Law School International Arbitration Conference (NLSIAC) on 3rd May, 2015.

NLSIAM is one of the foremost moots in India, and gives participants the unique opportunity to gain invaluable exposure to international arbitration. As the only arbitration moot in India, participants have the unique opportunity to argue before a simulated arbitral tribunal populated by expert arbitrators, academicians and practitioners.

The moot problem this year would based on Investment Arbitration. As always, the moot would be judged by the some of the most renowned names in the arbitration fraternity. As a part of our continuing endeavor to increase the standards of the moot, we will strive to improve the hospitality and comfort extended to participants.

This year, the moot will see the introduction of staggered memorial submissions. We believe that such a system, a first for an Indian Moot, will raise the bar of the moot by providing participants an experience that is closer to real arbitration proceedings. Claimant memorials have to be submitted on 15th March. Every team would then receive the Claimant memorandum prepared by the team against which it is paired. The Respondent memorandum would be drafted in response to the Claimant memorandum, and would be due on 15th April.

Last date for provisional registration is January 30, 2015. You may provisionally register for the moot by mailing us at nlsiamoot@gmail.com. Final registration will close on March 1, 2015. Registration will open soon on our website. Please do send us an email expressing your interest in the event, so we can add you to our mailing list. For any other information regarding the moot, you may visit our official website- www.nlsiam.org.
