On 08-04-2015, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between India and USA. The objective of the memorandum is to enable India to make use of the world’s latest technology available with the USA for projects like developments of waterways and multi-modal hub. The memorandum aims to foster cooperative works in areas like highway transportation, urban transportation, safety and environmental protections, fuel efficiency, rail transportation, maritime shipping and inter-modal transportation in order to provide advance, safe, secure, efficient and integrated transport systems.
