Students of Kerala Law Academy Law College, Trivandrum under the National Service Scheme’s flagship programme of winter vacation camp, engaged in seven days cleaning programme at Sabarimala, the famous pilgrimage centre of South India. The cleaning programme was conducted in association with Punyam Poonkavanam, a massive campaign for clean and garbage free Sabarimala and for spreading awareness of cleanliness among pilgrims. The NSS Unit of Kerala Law Academy is a noted one in this behalf and has a history of conducting cleaning camps at Hospitals and other public places. Another batch of NSS volunteers of KLA had participated in the three days long Pampa Cleaning Programme, an action plan for cleaning Pampa, the holy river near Sabarimala organized by Kerala State Pollution Control Board, earlier in December as per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala.
