The Kerala Law Academy Law College organised a one day national seminar on Democracy, Tolerance and Human Rights on the 29th of March, 2016. The college authorities conducted the seminar in association with its research arm, The Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research. The venue of the event was the V.R. Krishna Iyer Hall in the college campus at Peroorkada.

“Democracy, Tolerance and Human rights are three inseparable contents of the constitution of India. Students should make an earnest endeavour to study Indian Secularism. Our tradition teaches tolerance, our philosophy preaches tolerance and our constitution practices tolerance and let us not dilute it” said Justice Cyriac Joseph (Member, National Human Rights Commission of India) while he addressed the gathering for the inaugural function.

Shri. M.G. Radhakrishnan (Editor, Asianet News Channel, Kerala) presided over the function. Shri. Ullekh N.P. (Executive Editor, Open Magazine, New Delhi) was also present for the seminar. Approximately 26 papers were presented in the seminar by Research scholars and students.
