The President of India promulgated two ordinances to amend the Indian Medical Council Act and the Dentist Act to conduct a uniform entrance exam to all medical educational institutions at the undergraduate level and post graduate level in English, Hindi and such other languages as may be prescribed for the academic year 2016-17.
The Ordinances however, shall not effect admission to State Government (Government run or privately run) medical seats at the undergraduate level for the academic session 2016-17.
