Kerala Law Academy Law College conducted a two day National Workshop on Research Methodology on the 2nd and 3rd September 2016. The workshop was held at the V.R. Krisha Iyer Memorial Hall at the College campus. The programme was conducted in collaboration with The Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (CALSAR, research arm of The Kerala Law Academy).
“Finding the law is an important part of legal research, but the ability to analyze what you have found and reach a conclusion or formulate an argument based on it is just as essential. Mere finding of facts will not satisfy the researcher. The responsibility of a researcher is to motivate the community and the ultimate aim must be action orientation” said Prof. Dr. P. Ishwara Bhatt (West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata) while inaugurating the event.
The two days were divided into six sessions were the different aspects of legal research was discussed to all lengths and breadths. Eminent personalities having expertise in different fields of the topic delivered lectures. Prof. Dr. RaviKumar (Kerala Law Academy), Prof. Dr. Sunny (Director, School of Business Management and Legal Studies, Dean faculty of Law, University of Kerala), Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan (Department of Law, University of Kerala) and Dakshina Saraswathy (Faculty of Kerala Law Academy & Research Scholar) were some of the dignitaries present for the workshop.
