Justice S K Sinha appointed as the Chief Justice of Bangladesh

On 12-01-2015, President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid appointed Justice S K Sinha, the most Senior Judge of the Bangladesh Supreme Court as the Chief Justice of Bangladesh. He would assume the charge of the office on 17-01-2015, as the present Chief Justice Muzammel Hossain will retire on 16-01-2015. Justice Sinha is known for a number of landmark judgments including those on the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the 5th and 13th amendments to the Constitution.
