Symbiosis Law School, Pune organized the FIFTH Annual National Conference on contemporary legal scholarship on 10th September, 2016 having its theme, ‘Emerging Dimensions In Transnational Legal Research In A Globalizing World: Sustainability, Terrorism, Family’ in the background of its flagship journals Symbiosis Contemporary Law Journal (SCLJ) and the Student Journal Symbiosis Students Law Review (SSLR).

The purpose of the conference was to bring together students to foster scholarly exchange of ideas and promote and cultivate it. Ph.D scholars, PG students and UG students having a keen interest to promote, cultivate and groom themselves in research are encouraged to apply for presenting papers at this conference.

The Chief Guest for the Conference was Prof. (Dr.) Vijender Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, MNLU, Nagpur. The Guests of Honour were Prof. Kris Gledhill, Associate Professor, AUT Law School, Auckland, New Zealand and Prof. Dr. Anjani Kumar Varma, Dean, School Chemical Sciences and Dean (Research and Academic Affairs) Central University of Haryana. The conference has four themes, i.e., International law and Human Rights, IPR-Technology and Innovation Laws, Public Law and Governance and Business Law.
