The team comprising of Devashish Pandey (4th Year), Alok Vajpeyi (4th Year), Utkarsha Sharma (2nd Year) and Aastha Srivastava (2nd Year) from Institute of Law Nirma University, Ahmedabad were adjudged as the Semi-Finalist in the Xth National Law School – Trilegal International Arbitration Moot, 2017. The team’s journey started with a memorial knockout round, wherein there were around 40 teams who had submitted their memorials and the ILNU team was successful in making a place in the top 20 teams to participate in the oral rounds.
The Competition had 4 prelim rounds and on the basis of oral rounds and memorial scores, team won 3 rounds to qualify for the quarters.  It is pertinent to note that the team defeated NLU-Delhi, Symbiosis Law School, Pune and a local college from Bangalore in the prelims. It is of utmost importance to note that, apart from adding points to the MPL table, the team became the first time team from ILNU to clear the prelims rounds of the Moot.
In the quarters they were pitched against NALSAR who were very good with their preparation, but was eliminated by the team, with a huge margin. The four teams that qualified for the semis were NUJS, ILS (Pune), ILNU and NLU-Bhopal. The Semi Finals was judged by Mr. Murali Neelakantan ( President & Global General Counsel at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals), Ms. Anuradha Agnihotri and Mr. Rishab Gupta.
