Mr Alok Prasanna would be delivering a talk on ‘Capacity, Constitutionality and Credibility Crises in Judiciary’  on 12th March (Monday), 5 pm at the SAARC Law Centre, NALSAR University of Law as part of Nalsar Public Policy series.
Alok Prasanna Kumar is the founding member of Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy and currently heads the Bengaluru office of the Centre. He is an alumnus of NALSAR obtaining his BA LL.B (Hons) degree in 2008 and thereby went on to read BCL from the University of Oxford. He writes regularly for academic journals and other media outlets on issues of judiciary, and constitutional law and theory.
Mr Alok will present empirical data to break down the issues regarding delays and capacity problem in the judiciary, along with talking about the credibility issues of the court. The talk will also shed light on the historic and recent events which culminated in the historic press conference of the Supreme Court Judges earlier this year.
