Three Workshops have been organised in August 2018. The first one by Mr. Arunadhri Iyer, Advocate, the Supreme Court of India and second one by Mr. Edupuganti Shreyas, Associate, Khaitan & Co., and Alumnus- SLS NOIDA (Batch 2012-17) in the series were received very well by all the participants. We are delighted to inform that third workshop in the series will be delivered by Ms. Jayashree Parihar, Associate, PSL Advocates & Solicitors on ‘What Makes A Good Pleader’ on August 18, 2018 from 09:00am – 11:00am.

Mooting is an engaging and challenging co-curricular activity in law school. Requiring application of legal provisions and principles to hypothetical fact situation, mooting helps inculcate research, drafting and advocacy skills. With a view to broadening the perspective of budding pleaders and researchers towards mooting at Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, we bring to you a series of three workshops. This endeavour is to introduce students to culture and expectations of mooting.

About the Resource Person

Ms. Jayashree Parihar, Associate, PSL Advocates & Solicitors | Alumnus Batch 2011-16

Ms. Jayashree Parihar is a part of the disputes resolution team of PSL Advocates & Solicitors with commercial dispute resolution and white-collar crimes as primary focus areas. Her core interest lies in arbitration, especially, international commercial arbitration between multinational corporate entities. Jayashree has worked on matters for various Indian and overseas companies on a range of commercial matters before arbitral tribunals and judicial forums including the Hon’ble Supreme Court, High Courts, Customs, Excise and Service Tax Tribunal, district courts and consumer forums. Prior to joining PSL, Jayashree was working in the commercial dispute resolution team of Trilegal, Delhi. Ms. Jayashree is also a contributing author for LexisNexis for its Alternative Dispute Resolution section. Apart from being a legal professional, Ms. Jayashree is also a certified mountaineer, loves to click pictures and travel.
