G.S.R. 99(E)— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following amendments to the Central Government General Pool Residential Accommodation Rules, 2017, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Government General Pool Residential Accommodation (Amendment) Rules, 2019.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Government General Pool Residential Accommodation Rules, 2017, in rule 33,—
(1) in clause (a), for sub-clauses (i) to (iv), the following shall be substituted, namely:—
“(i) not exceeding three units in the case of Vice-President, Vice-President Secretariat;
(ii) not exceeding three units in the case of Chairman, Rajya Sabha;
(iii) not exceeding three units in the case of Speaker, Lok Sabha;
(iv) not exceeding three units in the case of Cabinet Minister;
(v) not exceeding two units in the case of Minister of State; and
(vi) not exceeding seven units in the case of Chief Justice of India;”;
(2) after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:—
“Provided further that the quota of remaining twelve General Pool Residential units for allotment on priority basis to the key officials working in the Vice-President Secretariat will continue to be made in one type below category.”
