The Quiz Society of O.P. Jindal Global University is excited to announce the inaugural edition of the Jindal Annual Legal Quiz – a legal themed quiz. The quiz shall include intuitive and intriguing questions from legal topics and themes which promise to challenge a participant’s legal knowledge and thinking ability.

The inaugural edition of the quiz shall be hosted by veteran lawyers and quizzers Manav Kapur and Brajendu Bhaskar. Manav is a lapsed lawyer having read law at NALSAR and NYU. He has previously taught law at NALSAR and Jindal Global Law School and is currently pursuing a PhD in legal history from Princeton University. Brajendu is a capital markets lawyer and current counsel at Trilegal. Having read law from NALSAR and Cambridge, he has previously worked in Allen and Overy and S&R.

The Quiz shall be conducted at JGU campus on 19th of October, 2019 from 11:00am onwards.

Who can participate?

Undergraduate and postgraduate students from across all disciplines (law and non-law) are invited to participate in the quiz.

What is the format of the quiz?

A written preliminary round will be hosted at 11:00am on the 19th of October. The top six highest scoring teams shall compete in the final rounds which shall be conducted on the same day. The final rounds shall follow the traditional rules of pounce/ bounce.

What will the quiz cover?

The quiz will cover questions across a variety of intuitive and intriguing questions relating to various areas of law (ranging from constitutional, international, civil among other areas of law)

What should be the composition of a participating team?

A team must constitute students from the same university (cross-college teams shall not be allowed to participate). A team can consist of two to three members.

What are the registration fees?

The registration fees for the quiz shall be Rs. 200 per team (irrespective of size).

How to register?

We shall be accepting on spot registrations for the quiz. However, to gauge the number of participants for the quiz and to be able to effectively communicate with interested participants, we would request you to fill this short form.

What shall be the prizes for the winning teams?

There is a prize of Rs 8000 for the winners and Rs 4000 for the runners up.
