The Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee, School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University) is holding the 5th edition of its annual flagship event, National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition (NTAC) from 13th December 2019 to 15th December 2019.

In the previous editions, NTAC has witnessed participants from law schools across the country and has successfully contributed to the promotion of a trial culture and criminal litigation. NTAC prides itself for being a one of a kind trial experience which helps in honing one’s research skills, and overall prowess of courtroom etiquette.

Eligibility
The Competition is open for all students who are pursuing three or five-year LL.B. Degree Course in Universities/Colleges/Law Departments in India, as recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Registration Procedure
The participation in the 5th SLCU National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition, 2019 is restricted to 24 teams only, on a first-come basis. In case the teams haven’t provisionally registered as of yet they are requested to do the same firstly, by sending a mail through their respective Official College Email ID or Other Official IDs handled by recognized student bodies to the Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee, at criminallaw.committee@law.christuniversity.in

The teams which have already got confirmation for thier respective provisional registrations should sumit the  following documents in order to complete the registration process:
(i) Duly filled registration forms with Signature & Seal affixed by the concerned authorities.
(ii) Scanned copy of the Demand Draft of the registration fee and accommodation fee.

The above-mentioned documents are to be emailed to criminallaw.committee@law.christuniversity.in with the subject of the e-mail as ‘ Final Registration: 5th SLCU NTAC_your respective college/university name’ on or before the 20th of November 2019, 11.59 PM. The hard copy of Registration Form and the Demand Draft is to be sent and should reach “Mr Anto Sebastian, Faculty Coordinator ACLSC, School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University) Hosur Main Road, Bhavani Nagar, S.G. Palya, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560029″ on or before 30th November 2019, 11.59 PM.

Along with the initial Trial Proposition, there will be a staggered release of new evidence and annexures. It shall be published in the ACLSC official website, https://slcuaclsc.weebly.com/5th-ntac.html and the official NTAC Instagram page with the handle ‘ntac_slcu.’ The same shall also be subsequently made available to everyone via email. However, it is encouraged that the participating teams keep themselves updated by regularly visiting the website as well as Instagram.

All the Participating Teams are kindly requested to send an e-mail with the subject as “List of Witnesses_Institution Name: 5th NTAC 2019” to criminallaw.committee@law.christuniversity.in enumerating the list of witnesses that they shall be examining for both the Prosecution and Defence on or before 6th December, 2019. Further changes in the list of witnesses shall not be entertained post December 6th, 2019.
