The Constitutional Law Society of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (NUJS) is pleased to announce the Eighth Durga Das Basu Essay Competition. This competition is organised annually and supported by the University.

The topic for this year is –   The debate between the Duty to respect the National Flag and the Anthem versus using them as symbols of protest.

There is no registration fee. The minimum word limit is 4000 words, and the maximum word limit is 5000 words (inclusive of footnotes). Please look through the rules attached for further details.

Awards:

Winning First Entry: Rs 5000 and merit certificate

Second place: Rs 3000 and a merit certificate

Third place: Rs 2000 and a merit certificate
